Leeds Festival Rebrand
Chaos meets Couture
For this assignment, we rebranded Leeds Festival to speak to a new kind of audience. While it’s known for its gritty, rock-fueled energy, we imagined a more elevated, curated experience without losing its edge.
I had the chance to team up with my imaginative classmate Daniella Diaz for this. The mockups you see here are the ones I created, but the final outcome was definitely shaped by both of our perspectives.

Through lots of research and experimenting, we worked on finding the balance between a more upscale, polished look and the rebellious roots Leeds Festival is known for.
It definitely wasn’t instant — it took a few rounds of trial and error, feedback from peers and the willingness to rethink things when needed. We went for a bold black-and-white palette, inspired by luxury branding, and combined three type styles: bold seasonal fonts for headings, a cursive for subheadings to add flair, and a clean sans-serif for easy-to-read body text. In the end, we developed a flexible system, including a new logo, updated festival name variations and a checkerboard motif that could easily adapt across posters, social media assets and merch. The final outcomes were created on Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
“My biggest takeaway? The best ideas usually come from listening, adjusting and being open to where the concept wants to go. Be open to feedback and new directions.”
